Austin Road Elementary School Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Breedlove Land Planning recently had the pleasure of attending the Ribbon Cutting ceremony for Austin Road Elementary School. This school is located on the Innovation Academy Campus and sits next door to the Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy, which we have previously worked on. It has been an honor to provide our services to Barrow County Schools as they continue to fulfill the needs of their developing community. We are excited to watch students, teachers, and administrators launch into the new school year. Go Rockets!! 🚀

Please join us in celebrating the return of a former Breedlove team member, Chris Prescott!

Chris Prescott began his professional career as an intern with Breedlove Land Planning in 1998. After graduating from UGA in 1999 with a degree in Landscape Architecture, Chris returned as a full-time employee and later obtained his Landscape Architecture license in 2004. His experience is wide and varied, including design development, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration for a range of residential (single and multi-family), commercial, educational, municipal, parks and recreation, and related athletic facilities. Chris is an experienced drafter using Civil3D modeling, and he has a strong appreciation for streamlining company drafting operations. Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, watching/attending UGA football games, listening to music, and being an avid ornamental gardener.

Dove Creek Middle School Ribbon Cutting

We started off our week celebrating the opening of Oconee County Schools’ new Dove Creek Middle School with those who have worked endlessly to ensure the school is ready for students, teachers, and administrators to kick off the new school year. It has been a pleasure working alongside Bowen & Watson, Inc., Lindsay Pope Brayfield & Associates, Inc., and Spurlock & Associates Inc Engineers on this project. We are excited to see how Dove Creek Middle School will impact the local community and those around it.

We are excited to welcome Roger Wells back to the Breedlove Land Planning team! Roger began his career at Breedlove in 2010 as a student intern and has since advanced professionally within the company. Roger’s landscape architecture background has accommodated a passion for sustainable and practical design. Equipped with admirable design and production skills, Roger’s project experience includes master planning, design development, construction documents, planting design, and permitting for a wide range of recreational, institutional and commercial facilities at varying scales.

Annual Clay Day Charity Event

On Friday, Breedlove Land Planning had a great time attending & sponsoring the annual Clay Day charity event hosted by Lydia’s Place. The proceeds from this event will serve young adults who have experienced foster care or housing insecurity, while promoting their growth to independence.

Lunch & Learn

Our Bishop team, along with several interested clients, enjoyed having Jeff Myers of Holbrook Asphalt Company speak during our Lunch & Learn yesterday. Jeff educated us on pavement management and preservation. We look forward to applying this information to our future projects.

Welcome to Breedlove!

Please help us welcome Will Shiver to the BLP Bishop team! Will is a student intern, working part-time while balancing his schoolwork. He currently attends the University of Georgia pursuing his degree in Civil Engineering. Will comes to Breedlove Land Planning with multiple years of experience with another engineering firm. His experience includes storm water management design, erosion control design, and conceptual planning. We look forward to watching Will progress throughout his internship!

We are excited to welcome Shelby Lucas to the BLP Bishop team! Shelby graduated in May of 2022 from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. At Breedlove, she will be balancing work as the Assistant Office Manager while working on various marketing projects. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and exploring new places. Shelby and her husband are expecting their first born in December of 2022.
