Georgia Tech Roe Stamps Field Construction Drawings are in for Permitting

Over the Fall of 2012, Breedlove Land Planning worked with Georgia Tech Facilities, Capital Planning and Space Management and Recreation departments to fast track the design and approval of the Roe Stamps Field renovation master plan.  This 53 page documents provides guidance for the redevelopment of what is arguably the most heavily used multi-purpose athletic field in the Southeast United States.  Since the completion of this master plan, BLP was approved to produce and permit construction documents.  With little time to waste, this multimillion dollar site renovation project was been designed, engineered and submitted for permitting.  By the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year, we hope to see this project completed.  More updates will follow as progress continues!

NFL Football Players Come Out for MVPS Hosted All Star Football Camp


Mount Vernon Presbyterian School is hosting the France AllPro Athlete Management All Star Football Camp this week on their newly constructed, Breedlove Land Planning designed, synthetic football field.  “The non-contact camp concentrates on fundamentals and skills of the game, promotes sportsmanship and is a chance to play football and interact with the players they’d only seen before on television”.  You can read more about the camp and the NFL players involved at – Buckhead football agent to hold football camp at Mount Vernon.

Duncan Creek Turf Project Complete

140,000 square feet of synthetic turf has been installed at Duncan Creek Park.  Deluxe Athletics has finished the delineation of the field hash marks, numbering and the installation of the rubber infill.  The result is a new community amenity, installed in the heat of the summer, that is ready for use.  Duncan Creek Park is one of hundreds of athletics facilities designed by Breedlove Land Planning, including over a dozen synthetic fields throughout the State of Georgia.

NFL players to Host Camp at Woodward Academy

The Atlanta Journal and Constitution is reporting that former Atlanta Falcons wide-receiver Terrance Mathis will be holding a free football camp at Woodward Academy this weekend with a number of former NFL stars.  In addition to being involved in a number of building projects, Breedlove Land Planning provided site design services for many Woodward Academy athletics projects including their softball complex, lacrosse practice fields and their brand new synthetic turf football stadium.  Information regarding the camp can be found here.

Duncan Creek Park Update

140,000 square feet of synthetic turf has been delivered to Duncan Creek Park.  Deluxe Athletics will begin the turf installation this week and the field will transform into a durable (and green) playing surface.  Inlaying of the field hash marks and numbering and installation of the rubber infill will occur over the next few weeks.  Stay tuned for updates!

Duncan Creek Park Synthetic Turf Field Underway

Duncan Creek Park is an existing active recreation park in the Hamilton Mill area of Gwinnet County, Georgia. Due to the area’s huge youth sports population, the County decided to convert their worn-out and over-used natural turf field to the first synthetic turf field in their extensive park system. The excavation is mostly complete and the formwork has begun for the concrete containment curb. Stay tuned for further updates as this exciting project moves closer to completion in July.
