This morning, Breedlove Land Planning (BLP) attended the ground breaking ceremony for Rockdale County’s newest addition – the Pine Street Elementary Replacement School. Located adjacent to Conyers Middle School, off Sigman Road, the existing Pine Street Elementary originally opened it’s doors in 1957. As one of the oldest schools in the Rockdale County School District, the time for replacement had come.
BLP worked with Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart and Associates, Inc. Architects (SRSSA) to design the new campus. The process began as a design competition in which various teams submitted conceptual plans of what the new school could be. The SRSSA / BLP team’s design strategy won the competition and began work to bring the ideas to life. The team worked with key stakeholders to refine the program, further develop the design, prepare construction documents and satisfy all permitting requirements in a timely manner. Completion of the project is estimated for June 2018.
Breedlove Land Planning recently attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Village Park at North Henry, a 32 acre park in the Fairview community of Henry County. In addition, the park offers a splash pad water feature, a community facility, multiple picnic pavilions, (2) two multi-purpose sports fields and miles of multi-use trails. Breedlove Land Planning enjoyed working with Henry County SPLOST in programming, master planning and construction documentation for this great community amenity.
