Decatur Fire Station Receives AIA Georgia 2010 Design Award

The Decatur Fire Station No.2 was just awarded a AIA Georgia 2010 Citation Award.  This LEED silver project in the Oakhurst neighborhood of the City of Decatur conserves water, employs recycled materials and energy-efficient systems, and uses natural light throughout.   Breedlove Land Planning, as a consultant to LP3 Architecture, provided all site design services for this award winning project.  Click here to learn about the ‘sun-tracker’, one of the many unique features of the building. Decatur Fire Station No.2 LEED Silver

  

 

Breedlove Land Planning is proud to have provided site design services for the Fire Station No.2 project.  This City of Decatur, Georgia fire station is located in the Oakhurst neighborhood and was designed by LP3 Architecture.  Recently this project received LEED Silver Certification from the United States Green Building Council (www.usgbc.org).  You can read about the sustainable features of this project on the City of Decatur website here.
