As the Tucker High School Construction Website states- ‘improvements at Tucker High School are moving along. Currently, Turner Construction has placed sod on the new football field, which includes a landscaped seating area. The goal posts have been placed and the new track is within a few weeks of being complete. Turner is also working on the baseball field, which is on the very back of the school site closest to Ball Park Drive.’ The school improvements should be complete by the end of the year.
Construction of the improvements to Rabbit Hill Park in Gwinnett County, Georgia was completed last week as the trees were installed. One of the new park elements is this water feature. Water originates in the upper patio area below the playground in a shallow basin and flows through the stepped concrete paver flume terminating in a lower basin and patio area that overlooks the existing lake. The lower basin drains into and replenishes the existing lake that is used to irrigate soccer fields and the new dog park. This water feature is fed by an existing on-site well.

Duncan Creek Park is an existing active recreation park in the Hamilton Mill area of Gwinnet County, Georgia. Due to the area’s huge youth sports population, the County decided to convert their worn-out and over-used natural turf field to the first synthetic turf field in their extensive park system. The excavation is mostly complete and the formwork has begun for the concrete containment curb. Stay tuned for further updates as this exciting project moves closer to completion in July.
