Elected Officials Visit Cambridge High School for a Sneak Peek

The Fulton County Schools website notes that “school and elected officials recently got an inside look at the new 320,000-square-foot Cambridge High School being built in the City of Milton. The school is beautiful in both form and function, and is on schedule to open its doors to almost 1,200 students this fall.”  Breedlove Land Planning assisted Chapman Griffin Lanier Sussenbach Architects with the site design of this new High School facility.  Photo © Fulton County School System.

Bethany Road High School in the City of Milton, Georgia has begun construction.  One of the critical concerns was designing an extensive site program of athletics fields, buildings, parking and open space while preserving existing water resources and protecting and enhancing an old farm pond.  Breedlove Land Planning developed a comprehensive erosion, sedimentation and pollution control plan to guide construction and designed numerous sediment treatment methods to protect existing resources.  Retaining walls are also used extensively to preserve existing trees and minimize encroachment into ecologically valuable areas.  More updates will be provided as this project moves forward.
