West Manor Elementary School

West Manor Elementary School

Situated just inside Atlanta’s westside perimeter, the West Manor Elementary School project is under construction to renovate the existing building interior as well as add new gym and classroom space. The site design was oriented around several site challenges, such as a steep sloping topography under the new building addition and protection of the beautiful tree canopy/buffer that exists on the property. The site has also presented construction challenges such as very tight access and limited staging space. This has required a collaborative effort between the design team and construction team to ensure construction continues in a timely manner while also preserving the wooded landscape that makes this school unique.
