Breedlove Land Planning invited UGA College of Environment + Design students participating in their first-year studio classes to our Bishop office to see first hand what it’s like to practice landscape architecture. BLP employees led the students on a tour of the office and shared experiences of what a typical day might look like. The students were also given the opportunity to ask questions related to the profession, fielded by recent UGA CED graduates Laurel Fox, Jon Qualls, Ming Guan, Diamond Owens and Kaitlin Bryant. The Breedlove team also shared examples of recent projects which aligned with their current studio curriculum – conceptual master planning. The students gained insight from BLP’s experienced team on things to look for, design approach and lessons learned. As a bonus, BLP chef’s (Bobby Molleur and Joe Moon) treated everyone to a BBQ cookout. With 13 UGA Alumni currently on staff, BLP is excited to serve as a nearby resource for UGA students. We look forward to offering continued support to the University of Georgia – College of Environment + Design into the future!
