One of the most unique aspects of the ongoing 5.08 Million Dollar Hunter Park Renovation in Douglasville, Georgia is a wheelchair accessible baseball-softball field. During the initial planning phase the City of Douglasville identified the need to provide accessible active recreational facilities inclusive of the entire community. As a consultant to the City of Douglasville, Breedlove Land Planning designed an accessible baseball softball field which consists of a rubber surface built on an asphalt base. The field is currently under construction and will be completed this summer. Hunter Park is scheduled to reopen in August, 2011.
