UGA Special Collections Library Making Progress

With its underground dewatering system and mammoth cistern already installed, building construction is continuing at the University of Georgia’s Special Collections Library.  This LEED pending project will eventually harvest mechanical system condensate and stormwater from the roof and site hardscape to provide non-potable irrigation water for the 3+ acre site.  Pollutants found in stormwater runoff will be removed by a variety of infiltration-based systems including vegetated bioretention ponds and enhanced swales designed by Breedlove Land Planning.
