Summer in Bloom at Arabia Mountain High School

Summer wildflowers are in bloom and solar panels have recently been installed at Arabia Mountain High School in Dekalb County, Georgia.  These landscape areas (pictured) are located in front of the LEED for Schools pending building and are designed to mimic a Georgia piedmont wet meadow.  This feature, designed by Breedlove Land Planning, and the solar panel installation are just a few of the elements intended to further the school’s mission of engaging students in learning through human and environmental interactions.  Click through to learn more about wet meadows and the challenges facing solar power use in Georgia.
